Russian hearts are broken and Swedish meatballs don’t taste so good in Ikea today after more high drama in Russia.
England and Croatia came through yesterday’s quarter finals to set up a World Cup semi-final meeting on Wednesday and the chance to face either France or Belgium in the final.
Meanwhile Sadie maintained her two point lead in the Total standings, although the top individual performer on the day was Amii who grabbed four points, including a hat-trick for forecasting Croatia and Russia to be 1-1 at full time before the hosts were shattered in the penalty shoot-out.
No-one else got amongst the points in that game, while Sadie and Narayan both correctly predicted England’s 2-0 victory over the Swedes, leaving Sara and the tournament organiser as the only Total players to get it wrong. The wooden spoon beckons.
Two days of rest now, but get both your semi-final predictions to me before close of business today.
